Model Registration

Complete this form if you wish to volunteer as a model for the festival. Please note there is no guarantee we can place you with an artist. Many thanks for registering to be a model in our 2024 Australian Body Art Festival competitions being held on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 April. The Brush & Sponge and Airbrush Categories will run from 8:30am to 5pm on Saturday 20 April and the Face Painting, Wearable Art & Special Effects Categories will run from 8:30am to 5pm on Sunday 21 April. These times include time for registration, photography, judging, parade and award ceremony on each day. With all body art competitions the art is painted directly onto the body and you are requested to not wear any make-up. For the Face Painting competition it is advisable to wear a strapless or fine strapped top. The minimum clothing requirement for a model in all the full Body Art competitions is a g-string or tight-fitting boxer shorts. Please be reassured that the emphasis will be on the artwork, not the body. During the initial stages of painting you will be screened from the general public. Also for your reassurance, a competition regulation is that only paints meeting FDA and/or EU approval can be used. Models for full body art must over 18 years of age (i.e. under 18 year models only permitted in Face Painting and Wearable Art categories). Please supply a recent full body photograph of yourself dressed in underwear or swimming costume or similar with the application.
